Tori Steapp

I am currently a college student at Houston Community College and plan to transfer to the University of Houston in the Spring of 2024. I am also a signed model with the Neal Hamil Agency and work as a volleyball coach coaching young ladies on the fundamentals of volleyball. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to one day hold the title of Miss Texas USA. My journey began when I competed in the National American Miss pageant when I was only nine years old. It wasn't until I was seventeen years old that I discovered what my passion and purpose were. In my freshman year of High School, I experienced losing my best friend due to suicide, and two years ago one other close friend of mine passed away from suicide. I was able to see the small signs only after they passed away. It is my goal to use a big platform such as Miss Texas USA to educate and help people understand these signs and what they should do to help someone they know that is suicidal, and hopefully, I can make beautiful connections with people in my pageant journey and one day create my own non-profit that will transform the way people view mental health and suicide.
